FAQ · Joining the Collective
Is membership required for certification?
No. Certification training is open to all qualified applicants, and joining the Collective is not required to enroll. The Collective is an additional professional community you can join after training, or alongside it, if it fits your goals.
Certification stands on its own
Black Pearl certification is a complete training program in its own right. You can pursue certification without any membership commitment.
The Collective is optional
The Collective is a professional community for doulas who want mentorship, continuing education, and peer connection. It is an addition, not a requirement.
Join when it fits
Some doulas join the Collective after certification, once they are practicing. Others join alongside training. Either path is fine.
