Do I need to be certified before Business Building?
Business Building is designed for trained and practicing doulas who are ready to grow a sustainable practice. New doulas should start with certification, which already includes business fundamentals, and then move into Business Building as their practice develops.
Certification includes business basics
Black Pearl certification includes business fundamentals, so new doulas finish training with a working understanding of services, boundaries, and client relationships.
Business Building goes deeper
Business Building is a deeper program for doulas with training and experience behind them. It covers positioning, marketing, lead management, consultations, systems, and sustainable growth.
The right sequence
For most doulas, the sequence is certification first, then experience, then Business Building. That order gives you something real to build on: a trained practice and a clear sense of your market.
